Bahay. Balay. Bale.
So many words for home, each one shaped by a people and a place.
New flash just dropped, and this one is a love letter to four ancestral houses: the Ifugao bale of the Cordilleras, the Tagalog bahay kubo, a Mangyan dwelling, and the Hanunuo Mangyan home of Mindoro.
Each one is built differently. Each one carries its own way of holding a family, weathering the land, and belonging to the people who raised it.
