Introducing The Hablon Collection… my 2026 flash set inspired by my recent time in Iloilo.
Hablon means “to weave” in Hiligaynon, and this textile tradition has been carried by Ilonggo hands for generations, way before Spanish colonization. Getting to sit with the weavers in their communities and witness their craft up close was such a gift. There’s something so powerful about watching a tradition passed down through mothers and grandmothers still going strong today.
I wanted to create something that honours what these weavers are keeping alive, and lets these patterns live on skin the way they’ve lived on cloth. If you’re diaspora and finding your way back home through the work of our ancestors, this one is for you.

A little rework and expansion for a piece that needed to grow with her story.
The original circle of flowers wasn’t mine, but I got to build around it… weaving in kalachuchi (plumeria) and banana leaves that live in both her motherland Philippines and her current home in Cuba. Two places, two lineages, one body carrying them both.
I love pieces like this. The ones that let you honour where you’ve been and where you are now, held together on skin. Thank you for trusting me with this next chapter @jules.pfederer 🫶🏽

July 26 I’ll be tattooing at @goodhandtattoo (162 M. Almeda St., Brgy. San Roque, Pateros) for @hibrfalastin’s worldwide flash fundraiser. Artists all over the world doing this together, on the same day, for the same reason. 🇵🇸
So grateful to be sharing this one with fellow like minded artists @minnie_tattoos , @____grasya , and @sayavillacorta .
Flash starts at ₱6000, and proceeds go straight to Palestine. Poppies, the key of return, olive branches, watermelon. Small markings that carry so much. A people who are still here, still growing, still finding their way home. 🥹

“Fireweed is native to where I live (Coast Salish territories) and also to some of my ancestral homelands, including Ireland. They are resilient and emerge after fire…
…I also have an appreciation for bees. These beings that play such an important role in the ecosystem. And they aren’t graceful about it, ha ha. They appear so busy and yet they operate with such deep purpose. The more I observe them, the more beauty I see in it. I am someone who is often busy and I am striving to move with intention while embracing who I am and not being someone I am not.”
