Talisman Collection - Volume One

  1. Mata – the eyes of our ancestors watching over us. This talisman is offers protection & wards off evil.
  2. Inud Uchan – like rain, means unending. The moon represents the cyclical nature of life. Together this talisman represents the never ending cycle of life & renewal.
  3. Araw – the sun, in dotwork, represents life & a reminder to breathe. The star in the center represents light in the darkness. This talisman is a reminder to take pause for there will always be light.
  4. Ngipin – Parallel lines symbolize endurance and strength. Teeth design offers protection, as does the mata in dotwork. This is a talisman of enduring protection.
  5. Kapwa – the “tao” depict people holding hands. This design symbolizes harmony and community of ancestors and family holding hands in an unbroken circle. The circle of dots is reminiscent of the Kalinga design for the moon, which represents life, and in the center is a compass which is a symbol for guidance. This talisman is a reminder that when we feel lost in this life, our community surrounds us with love and guidance.
  6. Gayaman – the centipede represents good omens and a warrior’s spirit, and incorporated with the parallel lines of endurance and strength along with the ancestral Mata, this talisman offers the bearer the enduring strength and warrior-spirit of our ancestors. ✨claimed✨
  7. Ina – the binunga (fern fruit) represents the woman with child. This is a talisman for motherhood and fertility. ✨claimed✨
  8. Karayan – Karayan is an Ilocano word for ‘river’. Many filipino creation myths believe that the world began with water, as such is the source of life, and this zig-zag design represents the water. The symbol in the center is the Kalinga Prayer design, which symbolizes unity and faith. The combination of these symbols with the parallel lines, Mata and intentional reflected design gives this talisman the essence of enduring balance and harmony (as above, so below) in life.
  9. Anak – the binunga (fruit) represents the child. This talisman is a reminder to nurture the inner child.
